Dolly Parton Imagination Library

North Baltimore Public Library, along with the seven other Wood County Library systems, are proud to team up with the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library and support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library efforts in our area. The program's costs are covered 50% by the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library program and 50% by local funds, with each library in Wood County contributing funds based upon their service area.

When enrolled in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library children ages birth through 5 years old will receive a FREE age-appropriate book each month.  It is the goal of this program to introduce and encourage a love of reading at a young age.

“Inspired by her father’s inability to read and write Dolly started her Imagination Library in 1995 for the children within her home county. Today, her program spans five countries and gifts over 2 million free books each month to children around the world.”
