We're seeking a dedicated individual to join the Library Board for a seven-year term. Details of the Position: • Serve as a valued member of our Library Board. • Participate in one meeting per month to help shape the future of our library. • Collaborate with other board members to support library services and initiatives. Applications for a current opening are due by January 13th, 2025. Applications can be picked up at the front desk of the library. Your voice and vision can help make a lasting impact in our community. We’d love for you to join us! WC Health Dept. Mobile Health Center Coming to the NB Library on Jan. 31 from 1-4 pm. No insurance, ID, or payment is needed. Walk -ins are welcome. Services include health screenings for cholesterol and respiratory infections, at-home COVID tests, hygiene supplies, health education, and resources. Drop by and let everyone know! Winter Grow to Go This collaborative community program provides participants with a complimentary kit of three different herbs. Additionally, the NB Garden Club will provide support to guarantee a successful experience! Supplies are limited so registration is necessary. Forms can be picked up at the main desk of the library or register through Facebook – search for North Baltimore Community Garden Project. Friends of the NB Library Annual Meeting Our annual meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 13 at 6 pm in the Wolfe Community Room. All members are welcome to attend! At the meeting we will review last year and make plans for the coming year! Everyone is welcome to join/renew their Friends membership at the Main Desk of the Library! View and Chew We are starting the new year of View & Chew off with the FREE movie We Live In Time. An up-andcoming chef (Florence Pugh) and a recent divorcée (Andrew Garfield) find their lives forever changed when a chance encounter brings them together, in a decade-spanning, deeply moving romance. The movie will be shown on Wednesday, January 15th with a start time of 6 pm at The Virginia Theater (119 N. Main St.). The theater doors will open at 5:30 pm. Concessions will be available for purchase. We look forward to seeing you there. Winter Reading 2025 Thyme to Get Growing! Adults may sign up beginning Monday, January 20th through February 28th.
