On Tuesday, October 7th there will be a members only preview sale with 25% off all sales. Wednesday and Thursday will be our bag/box sale, all you can get in a bag or box for one low price. Then on Friday and Saturday it is all you want for a donation. Don’t miss this once a year event! Are you a member? It is time to renew your membership for 2026. Stop in to pay your dues or complete a membership form. A McDonald’s night is planned on Thursday, November 6th from 5 - 8 pm. A portion of ALL sales during this time will go to the Friends of the Library. We look forward to seeing you and your family there. Book Chatters Book Chatters will be meeting this month on Tuesday, October 28th at 6:30 pm in the Wolfe Community Room. They will be discussing the title Starling House by Alix E. Harrow. Starling House is a gorgeous, modern gothic fantasy from the New York Times bestselling author of The Ten Thousand Doors of January. All are welcome to join us. A list of Book Club books are available at the library and on our website. Don’t forget you can always use Libby and Hoopla to get these titles as well. View and Chew The FREE October View & Chew movie will be “The Lost Bus” starring Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera. This movie is based on true events that happened during the California Camp Fire that devastated Paradise, California in 2018. A wayward school bus driver and a dedicated school teacher baƩle to save 22 children from a terrifying inferno. The movie will be shown on Thursday, October 16th with a start time of 6 pm at The Virginia Theater (119 N. Main St.). The theater doors will open at 5:30 pm. Concessions will be available for purchase. We look forward to seeing you there.
